Cake filter<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

After screening, many inclusions larger than the filter pores are trapped at the inlet end of the filter.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the foam ceramic filter, the melt flow path is tortuous, even a small range of cross-flow phenomenon.<\/span> This has two main functions:<\/span><\/p>\n

1. Probability of particles contacting the filter.<\/span><\/p>\n

– The metal melt is turbulent before filtration, and layered after filtration (the flow path of foam ceramic filter is tortuous), which reduces the formation of gas volume and secondary slag;<\/span><\/p>\n

– As the filtration goes on, the filtration mechanism changes from sieving, filter cake to deep bed filtration, and the purity of the filtered liquid metal becomes higher and higher (no more than the filtration capacity of the foam ceramic filter).<\/span><\/p>\n
