Aluminium dengan mudah membentuk Al\u2082O\u2082 atau sub-alumina (Al\u2082O dan Al\u2081\u2080) bersama oksigen. Pada saat yang sama, aluminium juga sangat mudah menyerap gas (H), yang kandungan gasnya mencapai 70\u201390% dari total gas dalam lelehan aluminium. Cacat utama pada paduan aluminium cor adalah pori-pori dan inklusi terak, yang disebabkan oleh gas dan oksida yang tersisa dalam paduan akibat partikel padat. Flux ini memiliki empat fungsi:<\/p>\n<p>Pertama, ubah sifat basah logam aluminium cair terhadap oksida (alumina), sehingga logam aluminium cair dapat dengan mudah dipisahkan dari oksida (alumina), sehingga sebagian besar oksida (alumina) masuk ke dalam fluks dan mengurangi kandungan oksida dalam logam.<\/p>\n<p>Kedua, aliran tersebut dapat mengubah kondisi lapisan oksida pada permukaan logam cair. Hal ini disebabkan karena aliran tersebut mampu memecah lapisan oksida yang kuat dan padat pada permukaan logam cair menjadi partikel-partikel halus, sehingga memungkinkan hidrogen dalam logam cair untuk keluar melalui celah-celah partikel pada lapisan oksida dan masuk ke atmosfer.<\/p>\n<p>Ketiga, keberadaan lapisan fluks dapat mengisolasi uap air di atmosfer sehingga tidak bersentuhan dengan lelehan aluminium, sehingga menghambat masuknya hidrogen ke dalam lelehan aluminium, sekaligus mencegah terjadinya pembakaran oksidatif pada lelehan tersebut.<\/p>\n<p>Keempat, fluks dapat menyerap oksida dalam lelehan aluminium, sehingga lelehan tersebut dapat dimurnikan. Singkatnya, penghilangan inklusi dalam proses pemurnian dengan fluks terutama dilakukan melalui adsorpsi, pelarutan, dan interaksi kimia dengan lapisan oksida serta inklusi non-logam dalam lelehan.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1275\" src=\"https:\/\/aluminiumceramicfiber.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Aluminum-Casting-Flux.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.aluminiumceramicfiber.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Aluminum-Casting-Flux.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.aluminiumceramicfiber.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Aluminum-Casting-Flux-300x240.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Flux_Classification\"><\/span>Klasifikasi Fluks<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Ada banyak jenis fluks yang digunakan dalam proses peleburan paduan aluminium, yang dapat dikelompokkan menjadi <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aluminiumceramicfiber.com\/id\/portfolio\/covering-flux\/\">agen pelapis<\/a> (bahan pengatur aliran untuk mencegah pembakaran oksidatif pada lelehan dan proses gettering) serta <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aluminiumceramicfiber.com\/id\/portfolio\/non-sodium-granulated-flux\/\">bahan pemurnian<\/a> (bahan pelebur untuk penghilangan gas dan penghilangan inklusi). Namun, bahan pelebur apa pun yang digunakan dalam proses peleburan paduan aluminium harus memenuhi syarat-syarat berikut.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Titik lelehnya harus lebih rendah daripada suhu leleh paduan aluminium.<\/li>\n<li>Berat jenisnya harus lebih kecil daripada berat jenis paduan aluminium.<\/li>\n<li>Dapat menyerap dan melarutkan inklusi dalam cairan logam, serta dapat menghilangkan gas dari cairan logam tersebut.<\/li>\n<li>Bahan tersebut tidak boleh bereaksi secara kimiawi dengan logam dan lapisan tungku.
