Selain itu, ada pula yang menggunakan pemurnian dengan fluks.<\/p>\n<p>Metode filtrasi dan pemurnian: suatu metode untuk memurnikan inklusi non-logam dalam aluminium cair dengan menggunakan media filter. Media filter tersebut dapat berupa bola korundum, lembaran keramik berbusa, tabung keramik mikropori, lapisan karbon, serta filter kapas sutra silikat yang diproduksi pada suhu tinggi.<\/p>\n<p>Metode pemurnian gas adalah metode pemurnian di mana gelembung gas inert atau gas aktif dialirkan ke dalam cairan aluminium untuk melarutkan gas yang terlarut. Gas inert seperti nitrogen dan argon dapat digunakan, begitu pula gas aktif seperti klorin, karbon tetraklorida, dan heksakloroetana. Saat menggunakan gas klorin, gelembung klorin akan membentuk gelembung aluminium klorida yang tersebar di seluruh cairan aluminium, menjebak inklusi padat tersuspensi yang teradsorpsi dengan hidrogen, dan kemudian mengapung ke permukaan cairan aluminium untuk dibuang. Pada saat yang sama, pengotor logam seperti litium, kalium, kalsium, natrium, dan magnesium yang terkandung dalam cairan aluminium dapat dihilangkan melalui proses klorinasi.<\/p>\n<p>Namun, klorin bersifat korosif dan menyebabkan hilangnya aluminium serta pencemaran lingkungan, sehingga umumnya digunakan bersama dengan nitrogen. Kadar klorin umumnya berkisar antara 3% hingga 6% (fraksi volume).
