Natrium akan mengurangi efek pemurnian fosfor pada paduan semacam itu.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Flux Pengelupasan<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Flux pengendapan terak mempercepat pemisahan aluminium cair yang tersisa dalam proses pemisahan terak (kadang-kadang hingga 80%). Selain klorida dan fluorida, fluks juga mengandung komponen pengoksidasi (KNO\u2083), yang akan bereaksi secara eksotermik dengan aluminium saat dipanaskan. Panas yang dihasilkan oleh fluks meningkatkan kelembaban dan kelancaran aliran aluminium yang terperangkap, sehingga tetesan-tetesan aluminium tersebut menyatu dan mengalir ke dalam cairan logam. Slag yang diolah oleh alat penghilang slag berbentuk bubuk dan kering. Slag ini dapat dengan mudah dikeluarkan dari tungku. Fluks membantu mengurangi kehilangan aluminium, sehingga sangat efektif secara ekonomi, terutama dalam proses peleburan ulang serpihan aluminium (serpihan, bahan hasil pembubutan, dll.).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pembersih Fluks<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Flux pembersih menghilangkan oksida yang tersuspensi dalam cairan logam. Sama seperti flux pada umumnya, bahan pembersih terdiri dari campuran klorida, fluorida, dan zat pengoksidasi. Flux pembersih menghasilkan panas yang lebih sedikit, sehingga efek pemisahannya terhadap aluminium pun lebih rendah. Namun, bahan ini memiliki kemampuan yang lebih baik dalam menyerap inklusi oksida dalam cairan logam.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bahan Penghilang Gas<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Flux yang terdiri dari garam-garam yang mengandung klorin dan fluorin digunakan untuk menghilangkan gas dari paduan aluminium cair. Flux yang telah dihilangkan gasnya biasanya berbentuk tablet. Ketika tablet flux direndam di dasar tungku yang dilengkapi dengan lonceng berlubang yang telah dipanaskan terlebih dahulu dan dalam keadaan bersih, proses penghilangan gas pun dimulai. Komponen fluks bereaksi dengan aluminium untuk membentuk senyawa gas (klorida aluminium, fluorida aluminium). Gas tersebut membentuk gelembung dan naik ke permukaan lelehan. Tekanan parsial hidrogen dalam gelembung yang terbentuk sangat rendah, sehingga hidrogen berdifusi dari aluminium cair ke dalam gelembung. Gelembung-gelembung tersebut keluar dari lelehan dan kemudian gas dibuang melalui sistem pembuangan. Proses ini berlanjut hingga gelembung berhenti muncul. Agen degassing juga dapat dimasukkan melalui metode injeksi. Dalam hal ini, gas inert berfungsi sebagai pembawa untuk fluks granular.
