Inilah tujuan dari proses pemurnian dan penghilangan gas dalam proses peleburan paduan aluminium. Jika kandungan gas pada aluminium cair telah dikurangi sejak awal, jumlah gas yang terlepas selama proses pengkristalan akan berkurang, dan jumlah gelembung yang terbentuk pun akan berkurang secara signifikan. Oleh karena itu, proses pemurnian paduan aluminium merupakan sarana teknologi yang sangat penting.
