Gas inert adalah gas yang tidak bereaksi secara kimiawi dengan aluminium cair dan hidrogen terlarut, serta tidak larut dalam aluminium. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aluminiumceramicfiber.com\/id\/degassing-aluminum-with-nitrogen\/\">Penghilangan Gas dengan Nitrogen<\/a> biasanya digunakan. Inklusi dalam aluminium cair dapat secara otomatis terserap oleh gelembung nitrogen dan dibawa keluar dari permukaan cairan. Untuk aluminium, gas aktif utamanya adalah klorin, dan klorin sendiri tidak larut dalam aluminium; namun, klorin bereaksi dengan cepat dengan aluminium serta hidrogen yang terlarut dalam cairan aluminium. Produk reaksi HCl dan AlCl\u2083 (titik didih 183\u00b0C) keduanya berbentuk gas, tidak larut dalam aluminium cair, dan dapat berperan dalam pemurnian bersama dengan klorin yang tidak ikut bereaksi, sehingga efek pemurniannya jauh lebih baik daripada peniupan nitrogen, dan efek penghilangan natriumnya juga signifikan. Garam klorida yang umum digunakan antara lain klorida seng, klorida mangan, heksakloroetana, tetraklorometana, tetraklorotitanium, dan sebagainya. Karena garam klorida memiliki sifat menyerap kelembapan, perlu diperhatikan proses pengeringan dan menjaga agar tetap kering saat digunakan. Zn memengaruhi kandungan beberapa paduan, sehingga perlu memperhatikan takaran yang tepat saat menggunakannya.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bahan pemurnian yang tidak beracun.<\/strong> Paduan aluminium <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aluminiumceramicfiber.com\/id\/flux-refining-2\/\">bahan pemurnian<\/a> terutama berupa garam klorida dan fluorida dari logam alkali. Efek pemurnian fluks terutama bergantung pada kemampuannya untuk menyerap dan melarutkan inklusi yang teroksidasi. Secara umum, kelarutan garam cair terhadap oksida tidak terlalu besar, biasanya berkisar antara 1% hingga 2%.
