Begitu filter dipilih, porositasnya menjadi nilai tetap.<\/p>\n<p>Efisiensi penyaringan hanya bergantung pada ketebalan filter dan kecepatan aliran logam cair yang melewati filter. Semakin tebal filter busa keramik, semakin baik hasil penyaringannya. Semakin cepat logam cair melewati filter, semakin buruk hasil penyaringannya. Pada proses produksi pengecoran-penggulungan, jumlah lelehan yang disaring per satuan waktu relatif kecil, laju alirannya lambat, dan bahan yang digunakan umumnya adalah aluminium murni serta paduan lunak. Partikel inklusi yang terdapat di dalamnya sedikit dan inklusi tersebut mudah diserap oleh filter, sehingga efisiensi penyaringannya tinggi. Secara relatif, logam cair lebih mudah dimurnikan. Umumnya, filter busa keramik dua tahap dengan 50PPI dan 30PPI digunakan untuk penyaringan. Ketebalan dan luas lembaran filter ditentukan berdasarkan perhitungan aliran limpah spesifik untuk memenuhi persyaratan.<\/p>\n<p>Dibandingkan dengan proses pengecoran dan penggulungan, kondisi produksi pada proses pengecoran lebih rumit. Oleh karena itu, yang terbaik adalah menggunakan filter tabung korundum, yang tidak hanya meningkatkan luas permukaan filter yang bersentuhan dengan lelehan, tetapi juga mengurangi laju aliran per satuan luas lelehan, serta memastikan efisiensi filtrasi dan laju aliran total memenuhi kebutuhan produksi.
