Ketika kecepatan pengecoran dalam proses pengecoran dan penggulungan berkelanjutan mencapai 7 m\/menit, medan aliran di dalam ujung cetakan dan rongga nosel menjadi lebih rumit seiring dengan peningkatan kecepatan pengecoran, dan partikel inklusi dalam cairan logam mengalami pergerakan fisik serta tabrakan akibat gaya tersebut. Bagian dalam bahan nozel terdiri dari serat-serat yang saling terjalin dengan banyak lubang. Reaksi tersebut menyebabkan permukaan nozel menjadi tidak rata dan adanya pori-pori tersendiri, sehingga permukaan nozel memiliki luas permukaan spesifik yang lebih besar dan energi adsorpsi yang lebih tinggi, serta memiliki kemampuan yang kuat untuk menangkap inklusi padat non-logam dalam cairan logam. Pada saat yang sama, partikel TiB\u2082 yang sangat kecil dalam refiner yang ditambahkan pada proses pengecoran kontinu dan penggulungan akan ditangkap oleh inklusi pada nozel. Pada saat yang sama, akibat fenomena pengkristalan paduan aluminium, kekuatan ikatan antara inklusi dan antara inklusi dengan bahan nozel pun meningkat. Aliran cairan paduan aluminium berkecepatan tinggi dalam proses pengecoran kontinu dan penggulungan menyulitkan pengendalian erosi di rongga nosel. Terak menimbulkan dampak yang signifikan, sehingga proses ini rentan terhadap penyumbatan nosel pengecoran.<\/p>\n<p>Kandungan Mg dalam paduan aluminium AA8011 sangat kecil, namun terak pada permukaan nosel pengecoran memiliki fraksi massa sebesar 0,4% Mg, dan terdapat pula unsur Mg dalam terak hitam berbentuk strip yang terbentuk pada pelat pengecoran paduan aluminium selama proses produksi. Spinel dan olivin magnesia yang terbentuk dari Mg, MgO, dan Al selama proses pengecoran dan penggulungan berkelanjutan menyebabkan penyumbatan nozel pengecoran yang semakin parah.
