Selama proses peleburan berkelanjutan, terak teroksidasi akan terbentuk di permukaan dan di dalam aluminium cair. Bahan baku peleburan terdiri dari ingot aluminium dan bahan daur ulang. Kandungan terak pada bahan daur ulang lebih tinggi daripada pada ingot aluminium. Setelah peleburan, terak dalam aluminium cair akan meningkat sesuai dengan itu. Terak oksida mudah diserap oleh gas dalam aluminium cair, sehingga menyulitkan pemisahan gas dari aluminium cair. Aluminium cair berkualitas tinggi harus memiliki karakteristik komposisi kimia yang memenuhi syarat, kandungan gas dan inklusi oksida yang rendah, kinerja pengecoran yang baik, serta kinerja mekanis hasil pengecoran yang memenuhi persyaratan.<\/p>\n<p>Terdapat berbagai jenis inklusi dalam aluminium cair. Kecuali material yang terlepas dari badan tungku, sebagian besar inklusi tersebut berasal dari material yang dipanaskan ulang. Dalam proses penempatan dan peleburan material daur ulang, terbentuklah inklusi oksida seperti alumina dan magnesia. Karena bahan daur ulang tidak dapat benar-benar bersih, dan permukaan saluran masuk, hasil cetakan yang tidak memenuhi syarat, serta permukaan lainnya akan menempel pada minyak dan relatif lembap, maka akan dihasilkan asap dan uap air dalam jumlah besar selama proses peleburan, yang merupakan sumber utama hidrogen.
