Metode perbedaan tekanan parsial merupakan metode yang paling dasar. Metode ini memiliki empat jenis: metode penghilangan gas, metode penghilangan gas melalui pendidihan, dan metode penghilangan gas vakum. Metode penghilangan gas dapat dibagi menjadi metode gas inert, metode gas aktif, dan metode gas campuran.<\/p>\n<p>Gas inert yang digunakan untuk proses degassing di industri haruslah gas yang tidak larut dalam logam cair dan tidak bereaksi dengan logam, seperti nitrogen dan argon yang digunakan dalam peleburan paduan aluminium. Gas ini tidak beracun, tidak korosif terhadap peralatan, dan tidak menimbulkan polusi lingkungan, serta mudah dan aman dalam pengoperasiannya. Eksperimen menunjukkan bahwa jika gelembung yang terbentuk akibat gas yang dimasukkan melarikan diri dari permukaan dengan kecepatan lurus, hal ini akan menyebabkan percikan logam cair dan merusak integritas lapisan penguapan atau penutup permukaan cairan. Jika gelembung naik terlalu cepat, gelembung tersebut akan membentuk rantai, yang akan mengurangi luas permukaan kontak antara gelembung dan logam. Jika terbentuk gelembung berdiameter kecil yang tidak membentuk rantai, hal ini dapat memperkuat pengadukan logam cair dan meningkatkan luas permukaan kontak antara gelembung dan logam.
