Hidrogen merupakan faktor terpenting yang menyebabkan pembentukan porositas; inklusi non-logam dapat menjadi inti heterogen pori dan mempercepat pembentukan porositas. Ada banyak faktor yang memengaruhi porositas, namun banyak peneliti berpendapat bahwa kandungan hidrogen merupakan faktor yang paling menentukan di antara semua faktor terkait.<\/p>\n<p>Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa porositas berbanding terbalik dengan laju pendinginan dan berbanding lurus dengan kandungan hidrogen awal.
