Fe, Mn, dan Cr dapat membentuk senyawa yang tidak larut, sehingga melemahkan peran Mn dan Cr dalam paduan tersebut. Ketika senyawa yang lebih keras dan rapuh terbentuk dalam struktur ingot, retakan akibat pemrosesan cenderung terjadi. Selain itu, Fe juga menurunkan ketahanan korosi paduan seri ini, sehingga kandungan Fe umumnya dikendalikan di bawah 0,4%. Untuk bahan kawat las, kandungan Fe sebaiknya dibatasi di bawah 0,2%.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4315\" src=\"https:\/\/aluminiumceramicfiber.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Impurity-Elements-of-5000-Series.jpg\" alt=\"Unsur-unsur Pengotor pada Seri 5000\" width=\"500\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.aluminiumceramicfiber.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Impurity-Elements-of-5000-Series.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.aluminiumceramicfiber.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Impurity-Elements-of-5000-Series-300x240.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Unsur-unsur Pengotor pada Seri 5000<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Si merupakan pengotor yang berbahaya (kecuali pada paduan LF3). Si dan Mg membentuk fase Mg\u2082Si. Kandungan Mg yang berlebihan mengurangi kelarutan fase Mg\u2082Si dalam cairan logam, sehingga tidak hanya memiliki efek penguatan yang kecil, tetapi juga mengurangi plastisitas paduan. Selama proses penggulungan, Si memiliki lebih banyak efek samping dibandingkan Fe, sehingga kandungan Si sebaiknya dibatasi kurang dari 0,5%.<\/p>\n<p>Paduan 5A03 mengandung Si sebesar 0,5% hingga 0,8%, yang dapat mengurangi kecenderungan terjadinya retakan las dan meningkatkan kinerja pengelasan paduan tersebut. Kandungan Cu dalam jumlah kecil dapat merugikan ketahanan korosi paduan, sehingga kandungan Cu umumnya dibatasi kurang dari 0,2%, dan beberapa paduan memiliki persyaratan yang lebih ketat. Jika kandungan Zn kurang dari 0,2%, hal ini tidak berdampak signifikan terhadap sifat mekanis dan ketahanan korosi paduan. Penambahan sejumlah kecil Zn ke dalam paduan Mg tinggi dapat meningkatkan kekuatan tarik sebesar 10\u201320 MPa. Oleh karena itu, kandungan Zn sebagai pengotor dalam paduan harus dibatasi hingga 0,2% atau kurang.<\/p>\n<p>Selain itu, kandungan pengotor natrium (Na) dalam jumlah jejak pada paduan aluminium seri 5000 dapat sangat merusak kinerja deformasi panas paduan tersebut, serta menyebabkan timbulnya kerapuhan natrium, yang lebih menonjol pada paduan dengan kandungan magnesium (Mg) tinggi. Cara untuk menghilangkan kerapuhan natrium adalah dengan mengkonsentrasikan natrium bebas dan mengubahnya menjadi senyawa di batas butir. Metode klorinasi fluks dapat digunakan untuk menghasilkan natrium klorida yang kemudian dibuang bersama terak, atau metode penambahan jejak timbal juga dapat diterapkan.
