Flux-flux ini, yang terdiri dari senyawa garam, akan berubah menjadi cair pada suhu leleh normal aluminium, dan membentuk \u201cselimut\u201d penghalang cair di permukaan logam untuk melindunginya dari oksidasi dan adsorpsi hidrogen.
