Selain itu, gas hidrogen dalam jumlah besar umumnya tetap tertinggal di dalam benda cor bahkan setelah proses peleburan secara batch, terutama karena reabsorpsi gas hidrogen dan pembentukan gas hidrogen lebih lanjut akibat reaksi logam dengan kelembapan yang mungkin ada di seluruh sistem.
