Persyaratan kemurnian lelehan paduan aluminium daur ulang bervariasi tergantung pada jenis dan penggunaannya. Biasanya, kandungan hidrogen per 100 g aluminium harus kurang dari 0,2 ml, dan untuk beberapa paduan aluminium khusus, kandungan hidrogen per 100 g aluminium harus dikendalikan agar kurang dari 0,1 ml. Dalam produksi aktual, metode analisis metalografi digunakan untuk menganalisis secara kualitatif tingkat pori-pori halus (pinhole) pada struktur paduan aluminium guna mengukur kandungan hidrogen. Karena deteksi inklusi non-logam tidak dapat dikuantifikasi secara akurat, sulit untuk menetapkan persyaratan kuantitatif, dan inklusi tersebut hanya dapat diukur melalui analisis metalografi terhadap struktur ingot. Oleh karena itu, terdapat perbedaan tekanan parsial yang besar antara cairan logam dan gelembung nitrogen, sehingga hidrogen dalam cairan logam terus mengalir ke dalam gelembung melalui difusi hingga tekanan parsial hidrogen di dalam gelembung meningkat hingga sama dengan tekanan parsial hidrogen dalam cairan logam, dan keseimbangan tercapai.<\/p>\n<p>Ketika sejumlah besar gelembung nitrogen naik ke permukaan dari cairan logam, hidrogen di dalam gelembung tersebut terlepas ke atmosfer, sehingga gelembung-gelembung tersebut terus terbentuk; dengan kata lain, hidrogen yang terlarut dalam cairan logam dapat terus-menerus dihilangkan.
