Laju aliran sangat besar, dan penyaringan pada proses ini dilakukan dengan cara yang sama seperti pada proses pengecoran-penggulungan. Laju aliran pada filter ini setara dengan lebih dari 2,5\u20133,5 kali lipat laju aliran pada proses pengecoran-penggulungan, yang mengakibatkan berkurangnya efektivitas penyaringan.
