Pemurnian aluminium dengan perlakuan gas inert ini dapat menghilangkan logam alkali terlarut seperti hidrogen, natrium, dan litium, serta partikel padat berukuran kecil seperti alumina. Efektivitas volume gas tertentu dalam proses ini ditingkatkan dengan mengurangi ukuran gelembung gas dalam aluminium cair, sehingga meningkatkan luas permukaan total gas-logam. Dengan menyebarkan gelembung ke seluruh bagian aluminium cair yang akan diproses, efektivitas gelembung tersebut juga meningkat. Metode yang sangat efektif untuk membuat gelembung kecil dan menyebarkannya adalah dengan menggunakan nosel yang terletak di dalam bagian aluminium cair.<\/p>\n<p>Secara umum, juga diperlukan peningkatan kecepatan putaran nozel untuk mempertahankan pembentukan gelembung-gelembung kecil yang diperlukan serta penyebaran gelembung-gelembung kecil tersebut ke seluruh aluminium cair di zona pemurnian sistem.
