Aluminum Alloy Flux

Aluminum alloy flux injection method is a new process used by aluminum processing plants in China. It uses inert gas (nitrogen or argon) as a carrier to uniformly introduce refined flux into the melt to achieve the treatment of the melt. It has the advantages of gas refining and flux refining, and realizes a complete contact reaction between molten aluminum and flux. The generated slag does not stick to the furnace wall and is dry powdery slag, which can reduce the retention of aluminum in the slag and is easy to remove. The product is simple and convenient to operate, reduces the labor intensity of workers, improves the utilization rate of flux, and improves the working environment. It is formed in the process; tiny gas droplets can quickly precipitate, sodium evaporates and burns, and oxidized slag gathers on the surface of the liquid.

Precautions for using aluminum alloy flux
1. Control the powder feeding speed by turning on the switch size at the bottom of the refining tank, and try to spray flux during refining.
2. Control the stirring height of molten aluminum by controlling the nitrogen pressure. Under the premise of not clogging the tube, the stirring degree is better, preferably below 15cm.

Aluminum alloy refining agent is widely used in the production of primary aluminum and secondary aluminum to improve the quality and recovery rate of metal aluminum melt.

In the smelting process of aluminum and aluminum alloys, hydrogen and oxide inclusions are the main pollutants of aluminum melt.
Aluminum easily forms A1202 or sub-alumina (Al2O and A10) with oxygen.
At the same time, it is easy to absorb gas (H).
The content of the gas accounts for 70-90% of the total gas in the aluminum melt.
The main defects of cast aluminum alloy are porosity and slag inclusion.
This is caused by gas and solid particles. Residual oxides in the alloy.
Therefore, in order to obtain a high-quality melt, not only must the correct and reasonable melting process be selected, but also the purification and purification of the melt is very important.
