Foam Ceramic Filter Inalum is mainly used for the filtration process of aluminum and alloy in foundry and casthouse. It has excellent resistance to molten aluminum erosion and corrosion, can effectively remove inclusion.
These impurities tend to produce bubbles and inclusions in the slab, which seriously affect the purity of metal melt, and then affect the machining performance, mechanical properties, corrosion resistance and appearance quality of the product.
Foam Ceramic Filter Inalum is white or milky white.
Through physical adsorption and chemical action, suitable for the production of high quality, high requirements of aluminum and aluminum alloy purification process, can effectively remove all kinds of oxidation inclusions produced in the process of aluminum smelting, so as to reduce casting defects, improve casting quality, provide high quality materials for further processing.
Aluminum plant filters should be preheated before use.
The main features of Foam Ceramic Filter Inalum are as follows
1, filtration accuracy covers fine filtration, micro filtration.
2, high mechanical strength, stable chemical properties, good wear resistance, low resistance, anti blockage.
3, high efficiency, high output, the filter aperture arrangement is beautiful, uniform and tidy.
PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminium (Inalum) announced that it will improve its aluminium smelting furnace technology with the help of three EPC companies SAMI, PT Waskita Karya (Persero) and PT Unefeco. The news comes after the official announcement by PT Inalum (Persero) Executive Director Sophia Issabella Watimena of Guaradanx, and the addition of improvement items will increase the smelter’s operating current to 235 kA instead of 193 kA.
Inalum refines its aluminum smelting furnace technology; Seek the support of 3 EPC companies
Improvements will be implemented in electrolytic cell 1 and up to 170 furnaces, increasing Inalum’s aluminum production capacity by 25,000 tons per year.
Sophia Issabella Watimena said, “Inalum’s capacity is expected to increase by 25,000 tonnes of aluminium per year as the technology for electrolytic cell 1 improves to 170 furnaces.”
In addition, Inalum is currently undertaking other development projects, such as the construction of smelt-grade alumina refinery in Mempawah, West Kalimantan, and the feasibility study process for the construction of CPC plant, he added.
“We are pleased to work with Inalum on the improvement of aluminum smelting furnace technology,” said SAMI CEO Ning Ma. We believe that with good cooperation between the participating companies, the aluminum smelting furnace technology improvement project can be realized as expected.”
